Hi all,

It was another good week for the market bulls as the indexes added gains for another week. The inauguration took place followed by numerous executive orders. There was also an AI initiative called Stargate that created a bit of an online conflict between Musk and Altman. 

News of a cheaper AI version out of China sent all the US AI plays tanking on Monday. More fallout is likely to come.

Last week NFLX reported good earnings numbers and subscriber growth. The stock got a nice pop on that but has since sold off.

This coming week is packed with news including a Fed rate hike decision and then a press conference by Powell which is sure to create some volatility. CME Fed watch tool shows almost no chance of a rate cut next week.

Four of the seven large-cap tech stocks MSFT, AAPL, TSLA, and META will be reporting this week which should provide for more volatility. Should be a fun week for trading.

• KMI –Earnings last week – followed my rule of not holding swings through earnings and sold the remaining position.
• TD – long for a while, finally back in the green and took some profits and still long some.
• X – long from last week’s watchlist. Took some profits, still long some.

Tracking for Potential Trades

• Going to be a volatile week – stepping to the sidelines and watching for opportunities.
• AAPL – good price action on a bad market day for tech. Maybe more upside but watch out for earnings Thursday after close.
• NVDA – tanked on China AI Deep Seek news. May find some bargain hunters and will bounce back a little.
• TSLA – near resistance at $430. Watch for a break or drop from here.
