Michael Gropman is a retired police superintendent from Massachusetts. He has traveled extensively across North America as a mentor, coach, and educator of leadership in law enforcement, is currently the Vice President and former CFO of the West End Museum in Boston, and the principal of a small consulting firm. He holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Doctorate in Human Development from Boston University. He worked tirelessly on issues surrounding risk assessment in juveniles to redirect youths away from the harm of the criminal justice system. Michael is recognized expert in youth diversion as well as risk assessment and school safety. After partnering with the University of Massachusetts Medical School, he and several researchers developed a pre-arrest screening tool for law enforcement, the MASTLE, which is still in use today. He has extensive experience as an educator at local colleges and universities and was a senior instructor for FBI-LEEDA for several years. He started out his career as a financial planner after having graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts.
